Best food on the Willamette

My friend just got married on the Rose and the food was outstanding. The chicken was sooo tender and the there was this amazing pasta with pesto. I actually filled a coffee cup full and took some home to share. Thank you Rose crew and a special thank you to the caterer, to dine for catering. I will definitely go again, and the very least use the caterer again!

The best decision we made for our wedding

The best decision we made for our wedding was having Nick and his catering company, To Dine For, cater it. We really wanted "non-wedding food." Nick and his crew delivered.

The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully prepared Northern Italian food. Nick cooked a private meal for us prior to the wedding with a sampling of the food. After eating that meal, we had complete confidence in him. We did not have a big budget and Nick's prices were really reasonable. We went with the chicken cacciatore, gnocci, fresh greens salad, and grilled asparagus. It was served buffet style. Our wedding was small (about 50 people). Everyone at the wedding raved about the food - they were shocked that they really enjoyed their meal. Nick also took care of the bar and helped me select a perfect selection of beer, wine, and sparkling wine.

We went into this wedding process completely blind. Nick walked us through everything. He took care of linens, dishes, heat lamp rentals, and canopy rentals. He and his crew set up our tables and even helped with setting up decorations. One of his incredible staff members (Jessie) even helped me figure out how to properly walk down the aisle with my dad! Nick and his staff were so nice and were incredibly professional. They made our wedding an intimate, warm, delicious, and memorable experience. Choose To Dine For - you will NOT regret it!!

It was a very successful event

Our son’s wedding was last weekend. It was a very successful event and Nick Zorich of To Dine For Catering played a large role in making the event so pleasurable. We started working with Nick in October, 2009. He worked with our daughter-in-law to design a menu that fit both her desires and budget. He then provided a “tasting” at her house which involved a meal prepared for four people with the items she chose for the wedding dinner. This tasting is free if you choose to use To Dine For as your caterer. We were so pleased with Nick’s talent that we arranged for him to cater the rehearsal dinner also.

Nick arrived well before both events and was set up and ready to go before the guests arrived. He and his crew were very friendly, professional, and unobtrusive. We received many complements about the food. More than one guest told me it was the best wedding food they had ever had!

While Nick is not an event planner, he has a network of people he will refer you to and offer discounts when you schedule them. We used his referral for the photographer and the DJ.

I strongly recommend To Dine For Catering for any event. We will definitely call him when we need a caterer in the future.

Wonderful Service & Great Food

Nick and his crew catered my daughter's wedding. We engaged To Dine For Catering early in our planning process. I spoke to Nick a couple of times regarding linen colors and set up times. He was always available to discuss details and it was comforting to feel that we could rely on dinner being perfect. They didn't let us down...the dinner was excellent. Not only was the food presented beautifully...it was delicious. I had many compliments from our guests. Thank you Nick for helping to make this special day a success.

After dealing with a few catering companies who didn't seem to comprehend our budgetary constraints, we went "To Dine For" and were thrilled. Not only was the price right but, the food was AMAZING! To top it all off, Nick (company owner and chef) was a DREAM to deal with!
Friends of ours have used To Dine For with similar results! Nick is the consummate professional (as is his staff) -- friendly, personable, flexible, and without ego! Can you get better than that?

Exceptional catering

We recently have the pleasure of To Dine For Catering's services. I worked closely with Nick, the owner, designing the menu to fit my very tight budget. Our office party loved the pancetta wrapped pork loin, so juicy, and the bowtie pasta with pesto. I highly recommend his services. The staff looked very professional, they were dressed in all black with chef coats and were on top of cleaning up without disturbing our guests. Again, I can't recommend them enough, professional, great attitude, no pressure and curtious. I should mention, we used one of there vendors, B-Side Dj and got 10% off on both services. I found them online and read the reviews and decided to hire them for our office party. Our costs were definitely cut back this year but Nick really was understanding and still gave us options. Even gave us options for drinks too. All I can say about the bowtie pasta salad is YUM!!! I could have just sat at the table and had that but there was so much more to choose from. (It is still my favorite and I wish I could have the recipe!!) hint hint The beef was wonderfully seasoned and the chicken was the most tender that I have ever eaten in my life. Seasoned and juicy and something that I would have again. The staff was professional in every way and I am so glad that we used them. It made our party great and the set up and clean up was done really quickly without interrupting the flow of our office. I don't think that the left overs will last very long and I know that the pasta salad is probably gone even as I type! I will keep recommending them to my family and friends!!! Thank you Nick!!!

Thank you very much for the endless supply of delicious finger food at my birthday party. Your presentation was clean and elegant, much like your food you make. We were all wondering how anyone can make chicken breast so juicy, and the crespelle got much raving from everyone there. I hear about "honest food" often and wondered what that is, but yours was just that. It definitely was an experience to see our locally harvested food transformed into a beautiful Italian menu. Your creation was such an unexpected gift for me from both Jason and you. My birthday couldn't have been better. Thank you for making my birthday a very, very special affair. The party continued long after you left, until about 3 a.m. Your food and service wares provided a much appreciated air of festiveness. And I know I'll call you for another one!

Nick is possibly one of the best chefs in Portland who has the good fortune of having a business that reflects his passion for food, and his own brand of entertaining that can be brought to you instead of being limited to the confines of a restaurant. He made me feel completely at ease from the very start, and planning the menu and details /logistics of the tables and tents was a fun process because he is very flexible and open to your ideas. I had a graduation party for my husband, and the menu included the smoked beef brisket (fork tender, smokey juicy), parchment baked salmon, the best vegetarian lasagne I have every tasted, chicken skewers, pea salad (which he made especially for my husband, who loved it), proscuitto wrapped figs stuffed with cherve (fantastic!), tiny cesaer salad cups that were delicious even the next day, gorgeously cut seasonal fruit, bruschetta appetizers and the finale was a strawberry tiramisu that was absolutely melt in your mouth. He and his lovely wife and other assistant wore very nice black stylish uniforms, and were seamless in setting up the buffet table (beautifully decorated in greens, cloth and flowers), they kept the appetizer plates flowing, and considering they were working in a kitchen the size of a jet airplane galley turned out amazing mouthwatering food. At the end of the party they packaged all the leftovers in containers for us to take home, and made plates for any guest who requested them for taking home. They used cutlery and plates made out of 100% environmentally friendly materials. I highly recommend Nick's expertise and knowledge in fine food and entertaining, and will definitely use him again for another party and recommend him to others needing that special touch for their big day or memorable event. He will make it that much more so for you. He is an absolute delight, the value of the food and service were well within my budget, and my guests are still raving about the experience.

Fresh and flavorful food, Best service

We had our Mom's birthday party in the back yard and it was a delight. To Dine For Catering's staff was early and had everything set up and ready to go on time. The table was beautifully decorated with flowers and they even matched my color scheme. I can't brag enough about the food. We had a few left overs and ate them for breakfast! I am so glad I got their card at out company picnic, which was also over the top "To Die For" ha ha. All the best to Nick and his crew, you guys really made my Mom's birthday a day to remember.

Fantastic Kabobs and smoooooth service

I used this catering service for my engagement party. It was perfect. Nick helped me strike a mood of simple elegance with fresh ingredients and appealing presentation. He was easy to work with and very creative with menu planning within my budget. The prosciutto and fig appetizer was yummy and his grilled kabobs were amazingly flavorful and moist. The best part was the freshness. Nothing tasted like it had been sitting in a chafing dish all day before my party. I will definitely use To Dine for again (they're catering my wedding)!!! It was the first time I had to book a party for my company. We just started up and had a grand opening reception. We hired To Dine For Catering through a recommendation of a friend. The tables looked beautiful and the food was exactally what we expected, delicious, fresh and well displayed. Their professionalism was top notch from beginning, during and end. West Coast Traveler

I am constantly up and down the west coast for business. It is rare for me to stick around for the food offered at the conferences, I want something delicious and fresh. This is rare unfortunately. Until I came though Portland, To Dine For Catering was simply fantastic. Beautiful table with the most amazing aromas I have ever encountered. What ever those guys are doing I hope they keep it up. I can't wait for my next trip back to Portland.
